Future Pickleball Courts 2026 UPDATE.

City staff are currently completing final construction plans for the new pickleball courts at Stagecoach and Calavera Hills community parks.

To advance the project, city staff will:

Present final construction plans to the City Council in spring 2026 for acceptance and authorization to bid the project.
Return to the City Council in summer 2026 to seek approval of a construction contract after bids are received.
Begin construction following contract approval, with work expected to take about one year.

Carlsbad Pickleball Supporters Group is heartbroken to share the sad news of the passing of Terry Kueffer. Terry was a great ambassador to the North County Pickleball community. He was a loving, gentle and generous man and will be missed by his family and the pickleball community.

In addition to the six courts at Poinsettia Community Park, the City of Carlsbad offers indoor pickleball at three community centers:

Calavera Hills Community Center
Pine Avenue Community Center
Stagecoach Community Center
The city also offers adult pickleball lessons. Residents can sign up online.
