📦 Activity Kits are going out!

We’re getting everything packed and ready for our October 10 ConnectMed family event with Lions Tigers & Bears! 🦁🐯🐻

Our Activity Kits bring the hands-on part of our programs directly to kids at home. They help us reach families beyond San Diego and children who are immunocompromised, making sure more kids can be part of the experience wherever they are.

Each kit is filled with supplies for the day’s activities, plus fun and therapeutic materials so kids can participate and follow along from home. 💙

Next stop: mailboxes! 📪

🦷💜 Shoutout to Dra. Sandra Borquez and her incredible team in Tijuana!

This National Dental Hygiene Month, we want to highlight the work Dra. Borquez is doing to make dental care more comfortable and accessible for children with different needs.

In a recent post, she shared the journey of a young patient whose treatment is happening little by little, at her own pace — focusing not only on restoring her oral health, but on building trust and making each visit feel safer and more comfortable.

Such a great example of meeting kids where they are - and getting them involved in their own dental care!

🦁🐯🐻 Getting ready for a WILD afternoon - with a tour of Lions Tigers & Bears to prep for our special ConnectMed family event on October 10!

While kids explore together with our amazing volunteers and meet residents like the beautiful Lyra - half lion & half tiger - parents and caregivers will join Liz Robinson, LMFT, for a therapeutic Carry & Release activity.

Before finding his home at Lions Tigers & Bears, Meatball became famous for helping himself to Costco meatballs from neighborhood freezers! 😂

We’re so excited for a day of learning, exploring, and getting an up-close look at some incredible rescued animals with Lions Tigers & Bears in Alpine! 💜
