Light Haven is a spiritual nonprofit organization focused on supplying material support to individuals from marginalized and vulnerable communities through the facilitation of peer-to-peer donations. Light Haven is a people-first organization that functions on human love, imagination, and ideas instead of policies, bureaucracy, and the traditional mechanisms that slow down getting aid to those in
need. We are committed to making sure that everyone has access to material help when they need it, so we highly encourage those from non-traditional backgrounds and those who do not feel comfortable reaching out to faith-based organizations to come to us for help. Light Haven is a community founded on freedom - complete freedom of thought, expression, and creativity. Light Haven is a unique way of thinking about life and human relations. At Light Haven we believe that to be at our individual best, we must first know and love ourselves, and then we must love others unconditionally. We know that for people to do that, their basic needs have to be met. Love yourself, and love everyone else the same is easy to say, but it is hard to do when you don’t have money to eat and your stomach is empty, or when you’re worrying over how to pay your bills. We recognize the challenge that navigating everyday life poses, so we strive to provide whatever relief we can to those who need it in the hope of bringing them one step closer to recognizing the eternal beauty within themselves and in others. Light Haven is not a religion in the traditional sense; there is no literature, there are no places of worship, there is no dogma attached, there are no traditions or reverence of the past associated with our beliefs, we only care about the present. We do not ask for or require any obedience to our leaders. We do not subscribe to the idea of “celebrity” or esteem any single person alive or dead over anyone else. We do not worship the invisible or focus any of our energy or resources praising or promoting it, instead we focus our light on you, on real people who need help now. Light Haven is a theists organization made up of people from all faiths and beliefs. We are Christians, Buddhist, Atheist, Agnostics, Muslims, Jews, LDS and more. We are a multi-racial, SOGI-inclusive community that believes the only real diversity that exists amongst us is the variations in our “spirit”- {a spirit made up of our consciousness, our creativity, our passion, and our love}, and not our flesh. We are a registered spiritual nonprofit organization that strives to promote inner peace, joy, prosperity for all and most importantly fun in the lives of people. We believe that true happiness and unity as one family can only be realized once individual needs are met.
