What a tremendous evening of Masonic fellowship at the Carlisle Masonic Center!

Brothers gathered from across the region, including members of Letort Star No. 18, Carlisle Lodge No. 260, Acacia Lodge No. 586, Hebron Lodge No. 465, and Social Friendship Lodge No. 42. It was a joy to share in the spirit of brotherhood, conversation, and unity that makes our Fraternity so meaningful.

We were also honored by the presence of MWPGM Brother Samuel King and MWPGM Brother Paul A. Hibner, who offered thoughtful and encouraging remarks to all in attendance.

Evenings like this remind us that Freemasonry is at its best when Brothers gather together in friendship, support, and shared purpose. Freemasonry needs more nights like this!

Well, well, well, would ya look at that! The District 3 Traveling Gavel returns to Carlisle AGAIN for the second time in less than a month! Congratulations to all our members who attended Eureka-West Shore’s meeting to reclaim the gavel!

Carlisle Lodge No. 260 was proud to claim District 3’s Traveling Gavel on Friday night! The Traveling Gavel serves as a point of friendly competition between the lodges of District 3. The gavel is proudly displayed at the front of the lodge room of the current holder… that is until a group of brethren from elsewhere in the district arrive to attend that lodge’s stated meeting. The gavel is then claimed by whichever visiting lodge has the most members in attendance (with a minimum of three) at the meeting. Carlisle visited our friends at Acacia Lodge No. 586 in Waynesboro on Friday night and showed up with a complement of seven brothers. It’s our first time taking the Traveling Gavel since 2021! How long will we hang onto it? 🤔
