Genielle S. Burrows
Since graduation, Genielle spent many years as a social worker at a wonderful non-profit Kids in Distress where she helped parents get the help they needed to provide safe and nurturing environments for their children. In doing so, she realized her strength as a counselor and shifted in her career path from social worker to therapist. Genielle eaned a Master’s of Science in Counseling Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She provides therapy for survivors of sexual violence for a local governmental agency and transitioned to clinical supervisor for the Counseling Unit where she manages a team of 10 therapists in addition to continuing to provide therapy for clients in private practice.
Genielle is most proud of having a wonderful family with two amazing kids, Neil & Gianna, who are kind, smart, and spirited human beings. On the professional front, she is most proud of establishing her private therapy practice, Our Mosaic Therapy, which centers the needs of people dealing with racial, sexual, and gender identity trauma.

Nothing at all because we stay in touch regularly! Anna Kreshock and I won the lottery when we got paired up in Adam’s Hall freshman year. She is the best and I consider her a lifelong friend.
