Here are our May 2025 Pack events. We hope to see you there!
1. Arrow of Light and Crossover Ceremony - Sunday May 4th at 3pm
This special ceremony is our chance to celebrate each of our 5th grader's Cub Scout journey as they cross the bridge and are welcomed by the BSA Scouts of Troop 135.
This year’s event is especially exciting—we’re thrilled to announce that our current female scouts will now have the opportunity to stay right here in Carlisle and continue their adventure with the newly formed Troop 135G, led by Scoutmaster Amanda Kern! We warmly invite all families to join us to support our scouts, meet Amanda, and learn more about the exciting future of Troop 135G.
After the ceremony, we’ll gather for a celebration at the Great Brook Farm Ice Cream Stand. The ceremony is held at the bridge on North Road (off the Pine Point Loop Trail) at Great Brook State Park. My recommendation is to park in the parking lot near the Ice Cream Stand and take a short hike to the bridge.
2. Nature Connections and Creating Artwork for Next Year's Calendar Saturday May 10th at 3pm
We invite you to join us for a unique and meaningful event hosted by The Nature Connection, an organization dedicated to enhancing the well-being of individuals and communities through meaningful experiences with nature. A Nature Connection guide will lead us on a nature walk, encouraging scouts to explore their surroundings and gather inspiration for a special creative project—our annual fundraising calendar. Following the hike, Celia Knight will serve as our creative director, guiding scouts in creating detailed nature observation drawings using colored pencil, black and white, and chalk pastels. These drawings will be cut out and thoughtfully collaged onto vibrant chalk pastel backgrounds—bringing each piece to life with color and texture.
The final artwork will be featured in next year’s calendar, a meaningful tradition and vital fundraiser that supports our pack’s programs and activities throughout the year. Our scouts take great pride in seeing their artwork in print, and this project is a wonderful opportunity for them to express their creativity while contributing to something that directly benefits our entire pack community.
