Announcement: Cancellation of Mini Olympics & Exciting New Event
We regret to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances and scheduling challenges, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Mini Olympics. We understand how much everyone looks forward to this event, but unfortunately, these obstacles prevent us from delivering the high-quality experience you all deserve.
While the Mini Olympics holds a special place in all our hearts, what makes it truly memorable is the time spent together with friends and community. With that spirit in mind, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be hosting a Halloween Fun Day on October 16! 🎃👻 This fun-filled event will be a great opportunity for our Mini Olympic athletes and volunteers to come together and celebrate in a different way this year.
Stay tuned for more details to come — it’s going to be spook-tacular!

🎉 Fall is Here, and We Couldn't Be More Excited! 🎉

MCDD is buzzing with energy as we gear up for the start of our fall semester! 🍁 We can’t wait to welcome our amazing students back from summer break on Tuesday, September 3rd!

And guess what? That means it’s almost time for one of our favorite events of the year—the Carlinville Lions Club Lion's Carnival on September 6th and 7th! 🎡🎂

We’re so proud to continue our tradition of baking and donating over 150 cakes for the famous cake walk stand! It’s a sweet way to support our community, and we can’t wait to share the love (and the cakes) with everyone! 🍰❤️

The Lion's Carnival is an exciting community event, and we need YOUR help to make it a sweet success! 🍰 We're looking for donations of cake baking supplies to whip up delicious treats for a great cause.

🧁 What We Need:

Cakes mixes (any flavor)
Frosting (assorted flavors)
Vegetable oil
Eggs
Disposal baking pans 8x8 preferably but also 9x13
Sprinkles and cake decorations

Every little bit helps! Whether you can donate a cake mix or a carton of eggs, your contribution will make a huge difference. If you’re able to help, please comment below or send us a message to arrange a drop-off.

Good afternoon everyone,

We are deeply saddened to inform you that our beloved former student and camper, Lillian Branaham, has passed away. The arrangements will occur on August 10th, 2024, in Calhoun, IL. The exact time is yet to be determined.

Lillian was fiercely loved by all and cherished her time at Camp Goodtimes. Please keep her loved ones, friends, and family close to your hearts during this difficult time. 💛
