Keep an eye on the weather today, everyone! Friday is usually the day where we have our biggest crowd after school so we want to post another friendly reminder for the parents/guardians of the after school group that the Community Center is not a storm shelter! Have a plan and be safe!

Happening TOMORROW, everyone! They got a few guest speakers to help educate you on severe weather preparedness. This is the second year Citizens for CJ has put this seminar together and last year's was VERY informative!

Join us at the CJ Community Center on Wednesday, March 25th at 6PM for an informative session on Severe Weather Preparedness. This event is designed to equip you with the knowledge and tools necessary to protect yourself and your loved ones during extreme weather conditions.Experts will provide guidance on creating emergency plans, assembling preparedness kits, and understanding weather warnings. There will also be a Q&A session to address any specific concerns you may have. Don't miss this opporunity to enhance your readiness and ensure your safety. All comunity members are welcome!

We got a few public events this week that will be held HERE at your Carl Junction Community Center! Let’s break down a few details on what those are!

First up, THIS Wednesday (March 25th) at 6 p.m., Citizens for CJ has put together an informative session on severe weather preparedness.

Second up, after years of requests…the CJ Leo Club are hosting their first EVER CJ Spring Bizaar THIS Saturday (March 28th) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be lots of great seasonal decor to get a fresh start on spring, all new vendor releases for spring, and lots of great scents to go with the season!

They’re are adding food trucks to this event as well!

Carl Junction Lions Club:

Carl Junction Lions Club will be hosting their monthly Saturday breakfast that takes place HERE every first Saturday of each month from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Check out the details for who will be a recipient for a portion of their profits this month and what all included in their breakfast!

Area Agency on Aging (A.K.A. Carl Junction Senior Center):

March is National Nutrition Month for the Carl Junction Senior Center. Each year during this month, our Senior Center holds an annual “Dinner Plate” fundraiser.

This is one of their BIGGEST fundraisers of the year. Check out some facts and details on how to donate. Serving their most vulnerable older neighbors is their top priority!

Heads up!

Getting this information out ASAP.

The gymnasium will be closed Wednesday, February 18th from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for some very much needed thorough maintenance work on all gymnasium basketball goals and the curtain divider that splits the court in half.

Good afternoon, Carl Junction!

We’ve got some bad news and we’ve got some good news regarding Line Dancing Mondays at the Community Center.

Bad News: We will not be having Line Dancing next Monday, February 16th due to the Community Center closing at 2 p.m. in observance of President’s Day.

Good News: Starting Monday, February 23rd, Line Dancing will be available for anyone to attend for FREE. That’s right, you read that correctly…FREE to attend for everyone!

So mark your calendars and we will see you all Monday, February 23rd from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. HERE at the Community Center!

✅ Open gymnasium until 6 p.m.
❌ No Line Dancing tonight.
✅ Pickleball at 6 p.m. is still on.

Quick heads up about operating hours for New Year’s Eve and New Years Day, we will be open until 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve (Wednesday, December 31st) and closed for the entirety of New Year Day (Thursday, January 1st).
