Merry Christmas! We would like to thank everyone for coming to the tree lighting this year!! We had a great turn out and hope everyone had a great time!! We would like to thank a few key people in helping make this event possible! Dusty’s Electric for the use of their crane truck to string the lights on the big tree and councilman Clayton Mecham for being an expert at running the crane and getting those lights on that tree perfectly each year!! A big thank you to Santa for taking time out of his busy schedule to come visit! Carey City council and Carey-Picabo chamber! The committee for their time and effort to put this whole event together from putting up displays and lights to setting up for Santa! Sawtooth reindeer for bringing members of Santa’s sleigh team! To Ireland Bank for donating the gift baskets for the raffle! Mayor Alyssa Cenarrusa for taking the Santa pictures this year. A big thank you to everyone in the community who donated! Our plan is to get better and better every year and those donations make it possible! If we missed anyone we do apologize, but please know we appreciate you! Again thank you to everyone who helped, donated and attended our lighting! We look forward to seeing you next year!!

🎄It’s that time! We are so excited to announce the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Sunday November 30th!
We hope everyone can make it out to meet Santa, grab some cookies and hot cocoa and gather round as we light up the tree at 6:00🎄

🎟️This year we will be having a raffle in which you can win either a Christmas wreath or basket. The funds from this raffle along with any donations made will go towards new decorations!

We hope to see everyone there!!!

Hello everyone! We would like to give a quick little update concerning the park Christmas decorations. We are readily awaiting for the snow to melt and the ground to thaw so that we can take down and store the decorations. The wind was brutal this winter and wreaked some havoc on the decorations and because of this we are actively brainstorming better ways to secure the decorations next winter. Thankfully none of the decorations are broken. Members of the committee did try to adjust some of the decorations throughout the winter but they were frozen solid and couldn’t be budged. Please understand we do care for the decorations and appreciate everyone’s concerns and they will be stored as soon as we can get to them without breaking them or ruining the fairgrounds/roads. Again thank you to everyone for being part of such a caring and concerned community and here’s hoping for an early spring!

Great job everyone on their home lighting displays this year!! It was amazing to drive around the Carey valley and see so many lights up! We had 135 display entries this year which made it hard for winners to be chosen as there were so many great displays!! The winners this year are:

In town home display:

2nd place to Daniel & Morgan Drage
3rd place to Rick & Stacey Mecham

Out of town display:
1st place to Jeff & Bobbi Harshbarger
2nd place to Don & Kodi Bunn

Happy 2025 everyone!! We would like to thank everyone for coming to the tree lighting this year!! We had a great turn out and hope everyone had a great time!! We would like to thank a few key people in helping make this event possible! Dusty’s Electric for the use of their crane truck to string the lights on the big tree and Clayton Mecham for being an expert at running the crane and getting those lights on that tree perfectly each year!! We would like to thank Ireland Bank staff and other private citizens for helping the committee put up the lights and displays! Allred Precision Millwork for their donation to purchase our new giant Teddy Bear! John and Heidi Peck for taking Santa pictures. Of course Santa for taking time out of his busy schedule to come visit! The Grinch for his surprise visit! Carey City council for the prize money donations. Carey-Picabo chamber for taking us on! The committee for their time and effort to put this whole event together! Sawtooth reindeer for bringing members of Santa’s sleigh team!
