🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE – PARADE CANCELLATION 🚨

This decision was extremely difficult and not made lightly.
Due to the sub-freezing temperatures in the forecast, the Carencro Mardi Gras Parade has been canceled. Public safety is our main and top priority, for those riding in the parade, our volunteers, first responders, and everyone lining the route.

The President of the Carencro Mardi Gras Association consulted with the Grand Marshal, the Board, and the Carencro Police Department. After careful discussion, it was determined that proceeding in sub-freezing conditions would pose unnecessary safety risks to our community.

We understand the disappointment this brings and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Please know this was not an easy call, but the safety of our community must always come first.

❌ The mandatory Captain’s Meeting scheduled for Wednesday is canceled.

📞 Every person who registered to ride and supported the parade will be contacted individually regarding refunds, questions, and next steps. Please note how much we appreciate you all for supporting us and the parade.

📝 Registration has been closed.

📅 At this time, there is no rescheduled parade date. If anything changes about rescheduling, you guys will be the first to know, here on our page.

Thank you to everyone who registered, volunteered, and supported Carencro Mardi Gras. We are incredibly grateful for this community and appreciate your understanding as we prioritize public safety.

City of Carencro Government held a flag raising to officially declare the 2026 Mardi Gras season! We are so proud of our Krewe and super thankful for all that celebrate with us each year.

Huge and final THANK YOU (😥) to King Edward XVIII Rocky Lenormand and Queen Elizabeth XVIII Tracie Smith Lenormand for representing Krewe de Wideload for an entire year. Both of you have supported Wideload for years and we couldn’t have selected better royalty for our 2025 season.

📍 Route: Starts at Carencro High and ends at the Carencro Community Center

🚧 Road closures: Begin at 10:00 AM, please plan ahead!
