Kiwanis Club of Carefree, AZ We believe that investing even a fraction of one's time, talent, energy and experience will make a world of difference tomorrow. What is Kiwanis?

Our focus is helping children recognize and develop their full potential. Kiwanis is a service club whose mission is to serve the children in the community by sponsoring AKTION Club (community service for young adults with special needs), Key Club (service leadership organization for teens that teaches leadership through service to others), scholarships ($400,000 awarded annually), Terrific Kids &

BUG (Bringing Up Grades) programs as well as science fairs and other science and engineering related education activities. We are able to sponsor these activities through fundraising at our yearly pancake breakfast, sales through the Marketplace Thrift Store and through generous donations from community and club members. What's In It For You? Fellowship and fun: Kiwanis members don't just do service-they have fun. Members make new friends by being part of the club where they attend meetings and participate in social events. Our local Kiwanis club also provides excellent networking opportunities for professionals. Members meet new people from all over their community through service projects, fundraising and by attending the weekly meeting.

Supporting kids, creativity, and opportunities in our community, that’s what Kiwanis is all about.

Kiwanis Club of Carefree Funds Request Committee member Tom P. recently had the pleasure of presenting funding support to Sandi Carll, Director of Desert Foothills Theater, helping make their summer camps possible for local youth. Through theater, students gain confidence, creativity, communication skills, and the chance to express themselves in a welcoming and encouraging environment.

We are proud to support programs that enrich young lives and create meaningful experiences that will last well beyond the summer season. Thank you to Desert Foothills Theater for all you do for our community’s young performers!

This Memorial Day, the Kiwanis Club of Carefree honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We are deeply grateful for their courage, dedication, and commitment to protecting the freedoms we enjoy every day.
