The SWITCHFOOT BRO-AM Foundation is dedicated to giving back to the San Diego community by heightening the profile of and providing grants to nonprofit organizations that provide services to homeless, at-risk and disadvantaged youth, with a special focus on programs related to music, art and surfing.

We wanted to shake things up for the 2026 Bro-Am Teams surf comp, so we’re throwing a curveball: one final team spot is up for grabs. You might be a local crew who tears it up every morning. Or you might be a more seasoned group of mid-length enthusiasts. Either way, if you want to surf for an incredible cause, we want to hear from you!

What happens when students get access to music education? Programs grow and students show up ready to play.

Our Fall ’25 Core Band grantee has seen incredible momentum since receiving instruments through support from the Switchfoot Bro-Am Foundation community. Most students only began playing in October, and already enrollment has grown so much that rehearsals moved into the auditorium to make room for everyone.

As Principal Loether shared, finding a bigger classroom for next year is “my favorite kind of problem to have.”

Meet A Step Beyond! 💜 A Step Beyond is a North County San Diego nonprofit providing free dance education, academic support, and family services to underserved youth.

100% of students who complete their 10-year program graduate high school and are accepted into college or career programs.
