TLD Charity Foundation Spotlight: Tri-County Special Education

TLD Charity Foundation is proud to highlight Tri-County Special Education (TCSE) — an incredible organization serving children and young adults with special needs across Jackson, Perry, and Union Counties.

For decades, TCSE has worked tirelessly to ensure that every child — no matter their abilities or challenges — receives the education, support, and opportunities they deserve. Their dedicated staff provide specialized programs, therapies, and resources designed to help students reach their fullest potential in both academics and life.

✨ How TCSE Changes Lives:
• Offers individualized education plans and tailored classroom supports for students ages 3–21
• Provides vital therapies and services including speech, occupational, and physical therapy, as well as social work and assistive technology
• Runs specialized programs such as:
• Communication Development (CD): Helping children with severe communication delays build language and confidence
• RISE: Supporting students with profound disabilities through life-skills and community-based instruction
• CHOICES: Preparing students for independence with practical living and work skills

💛 Why They Need Our Help:
The need is growing, and so are the challenges. TCSE is facing critical staffing shortages — particularly in special education teachers and aides — as well as increasing financial demands to maintain their programs, technology, and training resources.

That’s where the community comes in.

Through the generosity of donors and supporters like you, TLD Charity Foundation is raising funds and awareness to help TCSE continue their essential mission. Every contribution — whether financial or through volunteering — helps provide stability, resources, and hope for these students and their families.

🌍🤟 Today, on International Day of Sign Languages, we join the global community in celebrating the beauty and importance of sign language.

To a child, safety means feeling secure from physical and emotional harm, which involves a sense of protectedness, freedom from danger, and the ability to recognize and communicate feelings of being unsafe.

It encompasses both the external protection provided by adults and the internal, felt sense of security that allows a child to explore, learn, and build confidence.
