The SIUC Black Alumni Group would like to acknowledge the passing of Landon Wallace, affectionately known to many as DJ Commando. Wallace, a proud SIUC alumnus and member of the Beta Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, leaves behind a strong legacy. He cemented his place in the Chicago music and nightlife scene through his work with Power 92.3 in Chicago, Northwestern University, the University of Notre Dame, the Chicago Bulls, and brands like Under Armour. He also gave back to the community while making an impact in music both in the United States and abroad. Our thoughts and prayers are with Wallace’s family and friends during this time of mourning.
