Let's keep this page as a compilation of facts and focused opinion against the Sutey exchange. Personal attacks and bashing those people wealthier than yourself isn't appropriate for this venue.

If we learn any lesson from this debacle of a government shutdown, I hope it’s that national parks and other public lands are of greater daily benefit to Utahns than the rhetoric of the state Legislature’s sagebrush rebels and our own members of Congress would ever acknowledge. At Black Diamond, we’...

One of the myths perpetrated by Wexner land exchange advocates is that access to the proposed BLM exchange land is difficult. In reality, a well used trail exists that is a beautiful public amenity, and a network of trails and roads exists on the actual exchange land. Two private citizens tried to make that known, and the USFS took them to court due to the complaint of a NIMBY land owner who is actually one of the people using the trails. Another land grab from a man who can just over the hill. The Wexner LEX is not isolated, it's an insidious trend all over the west, just say no.

The industrialist Bill Koch’s effort to acquire some public land is setting off a debate about private property and public access, privilege and tradition.

The Wexner land grab is not an isolated incident, it's happening all over the west.

The Wexner land grab is not an isolated incident, it's happening all over the west.

It takes a truly small-minded politician to upset the balance of our public lands.

Keep commenting to the BLM! Even though the scoping comment period for the Environmental Assessment is closed, the BLM is required to consider any comments up until the EA is complete. So, send comments, specifically on why you think this exchange is or isn't in the public interest and what you would like the agency to address in the EA. You can send comments via e-mail to [email protected].

I just signed a petition to Steve Bennet, Regional director BLM and George Newman, Chairman Pitkin County Comissioners: Stop the Sutey/ Two Shoes/ Sopris Land Exchange.
