ILL Veggies is committed to addressing the issue of food waste and promoting community well-being by rescuing surplus vegetables and redistributing them to those in need in our communities. By intercepting these surplus vegetables before they reach the waste stream, we will collect and redistribute these rescued vegetables DIRECTLY to individuals in our community. Through partnerships with local f

armers, service providers and community organizations we will be able to amplify our impact serving the in need and at risk members of our community. ILL Veggies bridges the gap between surplus vegetables and those in need. We rescue vegetables from farms, markets, and distributors that would otherwise be discarded. These rescued vegetables are then distributed to local communities, ensuring that nutritious food reaches those who need it the most. By focusing on rescuing surplus vegetables and distributing them locally, we not only reduce food waste but also contribute to the well-being of individuals and families by providing essential nutrients while building a network of dedicated individuals to further strengthen the impact of our programs.

We’re proud to have the opportunity to give back to the organization that helped start it all for So Ill Veggies.

Years ago, the founders of So Ill Veggies first met on the baseball field through DeSoto Little League. The friendships, lessons, and memories built there helped shape the foundation of what would eventually become our organization. (And if you look closely, you might spot another familiar sponsor in the bottom right corner of the photo!)

DeSoto Little League continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of local youth by teaching teamwork, sportsmanship, dedication, and community pride. We’re proud to support an organization that invests so much in the next generation.

This space is being transformed into a hands-on learning environment where students can grow, explore, and connect with nature. We’re excited to bring new life to the garden and create endless opportunities for education, wellness, and community for years to come.
