Northwest Carbondale Neighborhood Association Join Us! General membership shall be open to all dues-paying residents aged eighteen or older of the District.

Membership dues are $10 for household and $5 for individuals payable in September of each year. Household memberships shall have a maximum of two votes. Membership shall be available for businesses and not-for-profit groups, including church groups, located within the northwest section of Carbondale with dues being $10. Each business or not- for-profit group shall be entitled to one vote.

My compliments to the groundskeepers at Hickory Lodge--since the local deer routinely ate anything that people planted in the wonderful garden plots provided in this space, something nice has been growing. Birds, bees, butterflies but no deer enjoying the back garden this morning!

While walking around campus Lake this afternoon, I found an electronic dog collar. I know these collars can be extraordinarily expensive and I took it in to the forestry department office because it was close. If you have lost your dog’s very nice electronic collar, you can find it at the SIU forestry department office or perhaps at the lost and found in the student center if they take it over there on Friday.

A friend found this precious girl crossing Oakland st at the corner of hwy 13. She was also eating garbage by Denny's. She has 2 collars but no ID. One collar may be a shock collar. My friend would like to get her back to her owners. If you recognize her or know someone by Oakland st who is missing a female black lab please post and I can put you in touch with the good samaritan who picked her up. Thank you and please share.

New people just moved into 1006 W Sycamore and their little white chihuahua got out tonight. He's friendly and wearing a little pink harness. FOUND AND HOME SAFE!!!! (I would have just deleted this but found that several people have seen the message and might like to see the good news!). Thanks everyone. this is a wonderful neighborhood.
