⚾🥎 Thank you to the Larry “Chico” Jackson Foundation for putting on a great baseball and softball camp for these future Terriers today!

We loved seeing so many young athletes out on the field learning and having fun. We appreciate your support of youth sports in our community!

Great turnout today for the free baseball/softball youth camp. So many high school players giving back to their sport. Thanks to the Chico Jackson foundation and Brian Matzenbacher for putting this together for our CCHS feeder schools!!!!! Once a Terrier, always a Terrier. ⚾️🥎

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Carbondale for selecting Carbondale Jr. Sports as a recipient of their community grant program!

CJS will receive a $1,000 grant to support need-based scholarships that help families cover registration fees and give more kids in our community the opportunity to play sports.

A special thank you to Rotarian Jan Payne with The Payne Group for sponsoring our application, and to past president of the CJS Board, Susan Walch Pimentel, for accepting the check on our behalf.

CJS shares the Rotary Club of Carbondale’s commitment to volunteerism and service above self. We are so grateful for the positive impact they continue to have on our community.

SIU is offering summer baseball camps at Richard “Itchy” Jones Stadium for young players looking to build skills, gain confidence, and have fun on the field.

Picture days are coming up! All teams will take photos at Superblock near the fields.

📍 Location: Superblock ballfields
📅 Dates: Tuesday, May 26; Thursday, May 28; and Friday, May 29
⏰ Please arrive 10–15 minutes early
👕 Players should wear their full uniform.

TSS Photography will have two cameras running, so please check the schedule carefully for your team’s assigned date, time, and camera.

🏈 CJS Tackle Football registration is now open! Here are the key details:

✅ Teams for incoming 5th-6th and 7th-8th graders
✅ Practices begin July 7 and will be held Mon-Fri from 5:00-7:00 PM
✅ Games run August through September
✅ Home games will be played at CCHS; teams will travel to other area towns for away games
✅ Registration deadline: June 30

⚽️ We wrapped up our spring All-Star soccer season with 8 teams competing in the Cape Spring Southern Shootout this past weekend!

We are proud of all of our Carbondale teams for playing hard, showing great sportsmanship, and representing our community so well.
