The members of the Carbondale Kansas Lions Club are in a spirt of Thanksgiving early this year. We are thankful for such a warm and considerate community that cares about its citizens and their needs during these difficult times.
When thinking about what kinds of “drives” or organizations we could best support this holiday season, we agreed that the most meaningful way to give back is by sharing the invaluable resources we already have right here in our own community and lending our efforts to support their ongoing drives.
By supporting our local drives and organizations, we’re not only meeting immediate needs but strengthening the bonds that make our community thrive all year long.
We encourage those that are able to donate nonperishable items to the following charities here in Carbondale:
~ Hope Against Hunger ~
A Carbondale-based nonprofit working to provide all seasons clothing, pantry food packs and household items to local families in need.

The Carbondale Kansas Lions Club is also partnering with the Carbondale Fire Department again this year for the annual delivery of fruit baskets.
Our local Lions Club will resume regular meetings at the start of 2026. Until then, you can find us being extra hands at community events around town!
As always, if there is an immediate need, please reach out to us. Best wishes for an unforgettable holiday season!
