The 2025 “Taste of the Valley” Chili/Soup Cook-Off was great! Our neighbors are so good and kind, AND expert chefs and eaters! We had such a nice time gathering to taste the delicious offerings of 14 folks who brought chili and soup to share. There were yummy desserts, too — pies, cookies, cupcakes, and brownies! Winners were chosen by popular vote. Congratulations to Bub Brill, Cheryl Anderson, and Grace LaFollette!

We are grateful to all the helpers who set up, got things ready, and cleaned up. Many hands make light work and a good time.

ALSO, many thanks to everyone who brought groceries and goods to share with our local food pantries in Wardensville and Amazing Grace in Capon Bridge. Cash donations for the food pantries were also quite generous! Thank you. N2N will match that amount, round it up, and give that money to the food pantries.

Roger Foster won the beautiful quilt!

Our hearts are full from a wonderful evening.

Today’s the day! The Chili/Soup Cook-Off is at 4:00 at the Capon Valley Ruritan in Yellow Spring. Come and eat, bring a pot of soup or chili if you like, and join in the fun. Yummy desserts, too! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes.
We’ll draw to see who wins the beautiful N2N quilt.
All proceeds from this dinner will go to local Food Pantries.
