In 1956, teenage Jeanie Hagedorn, made a decision that would shape her life for the next 70 years of her life.

What followed was a life spent in service, teaching Catholic school, advocating for immigrants and low-income families, and, in 2014, traveling across Iowa on the “Nuns on the Bus: We the People, We the Voters” tour to talk with everyone about the importance of voting!

Seven decades later, Sr. Jeanie Hagedorn, CHM reflects with a simple prayer: “that we can always have grateful hearts.”
