Cape Cod Favorites Johnny Spampinato & The Value Leaders Bring Good Time Rock-n-Roll to Cape Vincent for 2026 “Cape to Cape” Benefit Bash

Fans of NRBQ, The Spampinato Brothers, and The Incredible Casuals are in for a musical treat when Johnny Spampinato & The Value Leaders perform in Cape Vincent to raise funds for the Cape Vincent Arts Council. Billed as the “Cape to Cape Benefit Bash,” the event will take place Saturday, September 12 on the patio of Channel Marker 243, 427 S Market St, Cape Vincent, beginning at 6 pm. Admission is free; donations and proceeds from raffles will support the non-profit Arts Council’s music and art programs offered to the public.

Delivering souped-up boogie rock ‘n’ roll with a raw, infectious spirit, The Value Leaders’ sound is driven by clever four-part vocal harmonies and catchy, dance-friendly melodies. With tight rhythms, punchy hooks, and a groove that won’t quit, they keep the good times rolling and the dance floors moving.

The Value Leaders are Johnny Spampinato, guitar/vocals; Mark Usher, guitar/vocals; J. Cournoyer, bass/vocals; and Sam Wood, drums/vocals. Johnny is a rock veteran who has toured the world and even appeared on “The Simpsons.” As guitarist with the Incredible Casuals, he was part of their amazing run (34 years) of Sunday afternoon happy hour shows at the Wellfleet Beachcomber on Cape Cod. He played with older brother Joey in NRBQ (Joey was a co-founder) and later in The Spampinato Brothers, who rocked audiences as far away as Japan and Sweden.

The Value Leaders began playing shows in 2017 as The Spampinato Brothers Band. By 2019 Joey Spampinato had retired from music and the remaining members decided to carry on as The Value Leaders. Since then, they have played raucous shows in New England, including the prestigious headlining slot at Wellfleet Oyster Fest. They toured Japan in 2019 and have since played up and down the east coast.

Their debut album “Remo is a Dreamer” was released in 2022 on Quaking Bog records.

“Remember when music used to be fun? The Value Leaders certainly do, and here they come with a disc of musical contagions that will remind the rest of us about the exhilarating joy that can be had in a playful melody or a tickling twist of words,” wrote veteran music columnist Buzz McClain. “If their new disc, Remo Is a Dreamer, sounds like the work of polished professionals who like a ragged edge, it’s because the Cape Cod-based quartet is about as veteran and been-there-and-done-that as they come. And they like it that way. You might too.”

What a spectacular fundraiser Belle Epoque hosted for CVAC!

Salty Tunes & Sweet Treats is always a great time, but this year was extra special. Our very own Tom Petronio - CVAC board member, Concerts on the Green organizer, and advertising department - brought his bandmate, Steve, to perform for the crowd!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support us, as well as the Flanigans, Dog Hill Road, and all the other talented musicians who generously donated their time and talents. What a wonderful evening of live music to benefit live music! ❤️🎶
