Exciting news for homeschooling families in the Cape Girardeau area!

This fall, Prodigy Leadership Academy is launching The Prodigy Bridge — a two-half-days-a-week enrichment program designed specifically for homeschool students in grades 1 through 8.

Bridge students come to our 32-acre campus on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons, joining a dedicated group of Bridge peers for:

All-school worship
Spanish language instruction
Agriculture and outdoor learning
Creative arts and music
Physical education
Project-based learning
Lunch on the hill

Projected enrichment classes for the 2026-27 school year include agriculture, music, Spanish, art, physical education, and project-based learning.

You remain the primary educator at home. We are just part of your team.

When applying, select your child's grade with a "b" at the end to indicate Bridge enrollment. For example, a 3rd grader would select "B03."

We're so grateful to God to have completed our seventeenth year! We're grateful for every student, teacher, family member, and supporter who made such an amazing year possible. And finally, we're grateful for all of the seen and unseen ways that God worked in our students this year, forming them into young people who pursue Him, love learning, value relationships, explore, serve, and innovate. Have a great summer, everyone!☀️

Part 1: Field Day!

I mean, just look at those faces! Our PTO never fails to put on an awesome field day. The students had a BLAST. It was such a joy seeing them compete in the various games and races, and then enjoy the rest of the fun that was set up for the afternoon.

GRADUATION 2026 🎓✨

We're so proud of our high school, eighth grade, and kindergarten graduates. We can't wait to see how God works in and through the lives of these young people as they step into new chapters, equipped to love learning, pursue God, value relationships, explore, serve, and innovate.

Some lessons can only come from people who lived them.

Our high school students recently interviewed a panel of Juden School alumni who attended the one-room schoolhouse right here in Cape Girardeau in the 1940s and 50s.

They covered everything from the smell of hot lunch in a one-room schoolhouse to the weight of living through some of the most turbulent decades in American history.

Our students did it all: set designers, camera operators, interviewers, note takers, sketch artists, and a group who made chicken noodle soup from scratch (with Prodigy-raised chickens) to serve their guests afterward.

We're so grateful for our super-hardworking PTO and everyone who played a part in making the event possible; and we're grateful to our Cape Girardeau community for showing up to celebrate PLAy together!

It couldn't have been better. The weather was perfect, and we even broke our PLAyfest-rainy-day streak (well, it did sprinkle just a little bit - but we're not counting that!)

Did you know that at least 19 churches are represented in our Prodigy student body? We aren't tied to any one church, and we take an evangelical model, meaning we don't require families to make a statement of faith. But we are very up-front: Jesus is at the center of everything we do.

Also, it has been so beautiful the last few weeks! And it has been a delight to bring the whole school together to worship God and learn. (PS - We love it when our Prodigy parents and grandparents join us!)

One of the highlighted topics for the semester is biblical marriage. We've brought married couples up to testify to God's design and his goodness in marriage, and his redemption in brokenness. Worship and the message are frequently student-led, though we often feature guests from our community and local churches, and sometimes our own Prodigy teachers, too!

After a snowy weekend, we were finally back on campus today, and our students were more than ready to learn. There was a new topic they were especially excited to learn about: the science behind sledding. 🏂🏼❄

It was good to be together again! We’re especially thankful for the volunteers who jumped in to plow and clear snow so campus could be ready. What a gift it is to enjoy this part of God’s creation, even when it slows us down a bit.
