Badges Give Back

Badges Give Back A first responder based public charity, tax exempt under IRC Section 501(c)(3) We want to be able to “give back” to our own as well in times of need.

Improving our communities benefits everyone: promotes a safer environment, increases the appeal of a neighborhood, cuts down on crime, and expresses the fact that we value the people. Community projects and services such as playground rehabilitation, "kid talks" at area schools, first responder specific safety demonstrations, and information booths at area events will allow us to "give back" to th

e community and begin the process of repairing relationships and communication between local residents and area first responders. We plan to establish a reserve fund which would allow us to provide financial assistance to first responders and their families in times of crisis, such as medical emergencies, job related injuries, or unexpected disasters such as flooding, fire, etc. We define “first responder” as law enforcement, paid and volunteer fire fighters/EMS, dispatchers, corrections officers, and emergency medical personnel. Raising the funds to accomplish our community improvement goals and create the needed crisis reserve will also be a large focus of Badges Give Back.

Wow! What a day yesterday! We are beyond grateful (and exhausted)! Thank you to the Hero's Cup teams, the coaches, the People's Choice teams, the SCA competitors, Essner's Custom Butchering, Darren Burgfeld and especially our volunteers and Smokin Brothers, Inc. for all the hard work that goes into an event like this. We appreciate everyone who braved the weather and joined us at the When Pigs Fly Indoor BBQ Fest! The support of our community makes it possible for us to do the things we do!

If you weren't able to make it yesterday, we will be selling raffle tickets for the Stag grill through May 2nd to coincide with our Adult Prom. (Grill ticket links coming shortly.)
