The Pirates of New England! For tonight's program (12/9/2025) Seth Goldstein will share stories of pirates throughout the region. Some of these instances of piracy even took place right here in our back yard of Casco Bay. Prepare yourself to be introduced to a rogue’s gallery of sea raiders with connections to New England including Dixie Bull, Edward Low, and “Black” Sam Bellamy.

As a child, Millard F. Pippin Jr. lived at Fort Williams until he was 13 years old. He later served in the US Army in both World War II and the Korean War as an engineer soldier. This video contains an interview with him conducted by Jant Villiotte. It was compiled by the Cape Elizabeth High School Video Production Class in association with the Fort Williams Foundation and Jim Rowe, Cape Elizabth Historical Preservation Society, in 2016. It also contains some very old photos of the fort.
