Very cool to see -- the 2 coastal CELT preserves, Pond Cove & Trundy Point, were both noted as having rooted eelgrass this past July in Friends of Casco Bay's annual Seagrass Snapshot. Thanks to the community science volunteers for collecting the data and to the scientists for analyzing it. Reminder that Robinson Woods' leash hours change tomorrow, Oct 1!

Leashes are required on all Robinson trails 9 am - 3 pm for October through May. Leashes are still required at all times on the Wildflower Trail, trails in the fields, within 10 ft of roads, & the Pond Cove beach trails (check out the map!). Outside of leash hours, dogs must stay in sight and voice control at all times.

Thanks for your help in keeping the trails welcome to a wide range of visitors, human and animal, alike 🐩🐶🐾💚

Check out these upcoming CELT events!

This Saturday (9/19), join Sarah Dudek, the Maine New England Cottontail Habitat Restoration Coordinator for a walk at Runaway Farm to see where endangered cottontail rabbits are making their homes in Cape Elizabeth.

Next week (9/26), join us for our annual Harvest Party at Turkey Hill Farm! There will be live music, food trucks, a bonfire, and CELT educator-led night hikes to learn more about what happens in the natural world after dark.

Thanks to a great group of volunteers for helping out in Robinson Woods this past weekend! Our August Saturday Work Party had volunteers from Northeast Runners Alliance, and we lengthened the boardwalk & filled in some wet spots on trail. 🪵🪚💚
