Applications open for Uncommon Friends Foundation scholarships
Application deadline has been extended to June 1, 2026
The Uncommon Friends Foundation is accepting applications for its 2026 “Uncommon” student scholarships, which will be awarded to deserving students, veterans, struggling adults, disabled students and single parents who are pursuing degrees in education, technology, health sciences and other studies. The deadline for applications has been extended to June 1, 2026.
Qualifications require that nominees reside in Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Glades, or Hendry Counties, need financial assistance, excel in school and/or their personal lives, and possess high quality character traits. Scholarships vary in application requirements, duration and financial amounts. Application packets include an application form from the nominating organization, a written essay by the student/applicant on character, and one or more letters of recommendation from a sponsor such as a service agency, school counselor, teacher, principal or employer. Completed scholarship applications must be submitted to [email protected] by June 1, 2026. Winners will be announced mid to late June.
