Today we honor 128 years of service, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication from the Navy Corpsmen who have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Sailors and Marines around the world.

Whether aboard ship, in field hospitals, on humanitarian missions, or alongside Marines in the harshest combat environments, Corpsmen have earned a reputation for courage under fire and compassion under pressure. They are the steady hands that stop the bleeding, the calm voices in chaos, and the lifeline when it matters most.

To all past and present Corpsmen:

Battle of Belleau Wood — June 13th Reflection

On June 13, 1918, the Marines continued their brutal fight in the woods of Belleau Wood during World War I. Facing deadly machine-gun fire, artillery, and fierce resistance, the Marines pushed forward with unmatched courage and determination.

It was during this battle that the Marines earned a legendary reputation for toughness and fighting spirit, forever connecting them with the nickname “Devil Dogs” (Teufel Hunden). The sacrifice and bravery shown at Belleau Wood became part of the warrior legacy of the United States Marine Corps.

Belleau Wood was more than a battle — it was a statement.
Marines don’t quit. Marines adapt, overcome, and accomplish the mission.

June 6, 1944 | D-Day

Today we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and determination of the Allied forces who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944.

More than 156,000 American, British, Canadian, and Allied troops crossed the English Channel and faced unimaginable odds to begin the liberation of Western Europe from N**i occupation. Many never made it off the beaches. Many never came home.

Their bravery changed the course of history and secured the freedoms we enjoy today.

As Marines, veterans, and patriots, we honor the generation that answered the call when the world needed them most. Their legacy reminds us that freedom is never free and that courage is found in ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Please take a moment today to remember the heroes of Omaha, Utah, Gold, Juno, and Sword Beaches.

This is Memorial Day.

Not the noise.
Not the sales.
Not the long weekend.

This.

A quiet visit.
A weathered hand.

Today we remember the men and women who never made it home. The heroes whose absence still echoes through families, friendships, and generations.
