This image makes me happy and sad at the same time. Even in January, I’m preparing delicious nutritious food from produce I’ve purchased from my local farmers. Where except for my own food plot will I find such bounty now that our local farmers market’s future is uncertain? But today, I had someone contact me about taking it over. I’m hopeful. I believe in the relocalization of our economies. Buy local whenever possible!

Thank you to all of our wonderful farmers, volunteers, and supporters over the last four years. We are sad to announce that The Cape Charles Farmers Market at the Museum held its last market last Saturday. We hope that everyone will continue to find ways to support our local farmers and artisans, and remember to buy local whenever you can!
