Cape Charles Impact Center The Cape Charles Rosenwald School Restoration Initiative, Inc.

The Impact Center at the Historic Cape Charles Elementary, a Washington-Rosenwald School, is a 501c3 nonprofit unifying and energizing Virginia’s Eastern Shore through community partnerships, fellowship, lifelong learning, and economic empowerment. is organized exclusively for education, historical, cultural and local economic development purposes. The specific purposes of this Initiative are:

To restore and renovate the Cape Charles Rosenwald School to the point that it can be used for the community good by current and successive generations.
• To provide historical, cultural and educational activities related to the history of the Cape Charles Rosenwald School, its faculty, staff, alumni and community.
• To provide and encourage resident access to and participation in entertainment and cultural enrichment activities.
• To promote cultural heritage awareness, preservation, and involvement among residents in The Town of Cape Charles, Northampton County and the entire Eastern Shore.

We’ve got quite a week coming up in Cape Charles! Check out this week’s events below:

June 18, 7 - 9 PM: Eat, drink, and play Musical Bingo for the chance to win an AJ’s gift card at AJ’s Bar & Grill.

June 19, 1 - 6 PM: Enjoy the first annual Juneteenth Celebration at the Impact Center! Featured programming includes music, presentations, an art exhibition, and a vendor marketplace!

June 19, 6 PM: Watch the tall ships dock in the town harbor in preparation for SailFest Cape Charles!

June 19, 7 - 9 PM: The first Concert in the Park is here! Grab a chair and head over to Central Park for a live performance by TFC Band! Food and drink vendors will be on site.

June 20: SailFest Cape Charles officially kicks off with tall ships, historical presentations, kids’ activities, live music, and more! Check out sailfestcapecharles.com for the detailed schedule.
