THROWBACK THURSDAY: An awesome photograph today of Michigan Sugar Company’s factory in Caro being built in 1899.

The factory was originally built by the Peninsular Sugar Refining Company and was one of six factories to merge in 1906 to form Michigan Sugar Company.

Today, it is the oldest sugarbeet processsing facility in the United States.
