At yesterday’s meeting, our club members heard a presentation on synchronization and artificial insemination in cattle from Dr. Tommy Perkins and Hallie Dugosh. Then they recognized each others accomplishments during the 25-26 show season and at the recent District 1 4-H contests. Finally, they served their community by placing labels on water bottles for a children abuse awareness event being hosted this weekend by an area church.

Our hearts are full! Last night our members saw their labors bear fruit as they used the money they raised at our jackpot to purchase Christmas gifts for the CPS Rainbow Room. After purchasing the gifts, our members dropped of their purchases at the Rainbow Room and took a tour to learn about the room’s mission. Then we enjoyed a potluck meal where the kids exchanged ornaments. It was a great day!

This past Sunday, our club prepared a meal for guests at the Amarillo Ronald McDonald House. This is our third year to do this, and the kids love getting in the kitchen and working together.

We are set up and ready at the Randall County 4-H - Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Car Show. Visit us at the Happy State Bank Event Center on Loop 335 to see beautiful cars and support our club.

Our members did a fantastic job hosting the Panhandle Showdown Sheep and Goat Jackpot! Proud of all their efforts.

Our club members are looking forward to hosting this event which will help them meet their goal of purchasing Christmas gifts for children in foster care in our area.

The recently elected officer team for the Livestock Club would like to invite our members to attend our next meeting on Sunday, September 7th, at 3:30 at the Happy State Bank Academic and Research Building. Meeting presentations will include parliamentary procedure and providing supplemental hydration to your show animals.
