Canyon Grows is a new community garden in the city of Canyon. We aim to promote gardening, health, and community involvement. Here's how our Community Garden works:
* Our garden has around 20 plots, each of them 4' by 20'.
* We rent each plot out for $10 a year, they come untilled, and you'll have to provide your own irrigation system to hook up to your water supply.
* We have access to water thro
ugh the city, which is paid for by the yearly fees from those who rent a plot.
* You can grow whatever you like, and as much as you like within your individual plot.
* We ask that each gardener give back to the community via our Produce Stand, or via donation. We have a Produce Stand that is open depending on how much produce we have at the time. (Our current harvest time is late June)
The designated times for this are:
*Tuesdays at 5:30PM
*Saturdays at 8:00AM
This garden is going through its second year so we are still figuring ourselves out and establishing our connections around Canyon and Amarillo so please bare with us as we do so! Plots are first come first serve, and it is recommended that you give us a call directly to set up a time to meet with Ginger, our head gardener, so she can meet you and get you situated.
