Today is a pretty special day…Cru-Man turns 10! Happy birthday bud, you are destined to be great. For those that don’t know who Cru is, he’s the one that is responsible for Third Strand. Ten years ago, he came into this world, not knowing that only 17 days later, his mom (my little sister) would leave it. What happened after could only have been scripted by God. Ten years later, Cru is strong and healthy, driving all the girls crazy, playing sports, cheering on Texas Tech…and still changing lives through his story. Happy Birthday bud, we’re proud of you & I know your momma is too.

Here’s the truth - sometimes life is hard and doesn’t make any sense. Mothers die…Expectant mothers get sick…Precious babies are put up for adoption. Until Third Strand started in 2016, there were no charitable programs that would provide safe donor breast milk to these babies at no cost. Today, Third Strand remains THE ONLY nonprofit milk bank to do this. In fact, with the help of our friends at Milkify we’ve made it even safer and easier by distributing only freeze-dried donor milk! We don’t do it for accolades or likes or views…we do it because it’s the right thing to do and nobody else is willing to do it. However, we can’t do it without your support!

We need your help! Third Strand is at risk of having to press pause until funding solutions are found. Our goal has always been to reduce time spent on fundraising in order to allow more time for pursuing our mission. However, it takes continued funding to do that. We currently have a growing list of families requesting assistance from Third Strand, however, we are limited by current funding. Please consider helping us continue to feed babies and serve families across the United States. Without you, the naysayers who said this model was impossible win. Help us to continue to prove them wrong!

I’m probably not supposed to have favorites 😉 but this girl is definitely one of them! Our very first Third Strand Baby is starting Third Grade! Prayers for her teacher 😂! I’m certain that she’ll have a lot of fun summer stories to share!

It’s crazy watching our Third Strand babies turn into real humans! I guess we’ve been doing this for a while now. Next month will mark Third Strand’s 10th birthday!

Third Strand siblings Savannah (3) and James (8 months) are living their best summer lives. These healthy smiles make everything worth it! There’s nothing that we love more than seeing updates on all of our Third Strand Babies!

Third Strand provides safe freeze-dried donor breast milk to babes when their mothers can’t. Whether that is because of the death of a nursing mom, treatments for cancer, or even adopting and surrogacy, we fill in to help in stressful times.

Now, more than ever, we need your help! Fundraising has been a battle this year, and we are receiving more requests for assistance than ever before! Please help us continue helping to create these smiles. We have $25,000 left to go!
