Yesterday was Senior Signing Day & today was Showcase! We are SO PROUD of Jaden for her decision to go straight into the workforce & continue her growth in baking & pastries.

We fired up the smoker today to smoke some diced up chicken. Really proud how this group controlled their temps and seasoned their batch perfectly! 👩‍🍳 🧑‍🍳

Our amazing Culinary students ran the concession stand AND prepared team meals for the Canyon Invitational Track Meet from Thursday-Saturday and they crushed it! 👩‍🍳🔥
They planned the menu, managed the budget, and served 1,000+ meals while working open to close each day. 🍔🌭
Their teamwork, dedication, and professionalism were incredible all weekend. I’m so proud of how they stepped up and represented our program! 💪👏

Wow! Happy FFA Week to ALL!

This group of young men from Canyon FFA came by today and expressed appreciation for our program and all we contribute to CISD. Well spoken and great representatives of the positives CISD has going on in CTE at the moment. They did this in front of my whole class, without hesitation. I’m so impressed.

It’s CTE Month! 🙌
Shoutout to the students learning real skills, the teachers making it happen, and the programs that prove not every path looks the same, and that’s a GOOD thing. 🧑‍🍳👨‍🏭💇

February is CTE month and we are excited to celebrate all month with you all! 🎉 can’t wait to share all about CTE and what is going on CISD!

This week we were blessed by the Canyon Methodist Women in Service. They brought our program a Kitchen Aide Mixer! Much needed & will be put to use immediately after Christmas break!
