Canyon Firefighters Association

Canyon Firefighters Association We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the members of the Canyon Fire Department.

The Canyon Firefighters Association is a non-profit 501C3 organization that is made up of active members of the Canyon Fire Department who are both volunteer and career firefighters, honorary members, auxiliary members, associate members, and corporate members. The Association was started in 2014 after the Canyon Volunteer Fire Department Incorporated was dissolved. The Association has a mission o

f supporting fire prevention, fire protection, training, and recruitment activities of the CFD while providing the members of the association with a social and recreational fellowship. The Association is dedicated to improving the training of the members of the Canyon Firefighter Association to better serve the needs of our community and by assisting financially by providing equipment, training aids, and any other needs the members feel can benefit the department and the community. The association also works hard to provide training opportunities to not only the members of CFD but also other firefighters from around the Texas Panhandle through our annual CFA fire school formally the Canyon Volunteer Fire Department Incorporated fire school. Since 2006 the fire school has impacted around 2500 firefighters from 122 fire departments.

Please join us as we come together to support one of our own — a devoted local firefighter, friend, and family man who is currently battling Stage 4 cancer.

For years, Joe has answered the call for others in their moments of need, showing courage, strength, and compassion every step of the way. Now, he and his family need us.

We invite you to come out, bring your friends and family, and help us surround Joe and his family with love, encouragement, and support during this difficult fight. Whether you donate, participate, share the event, or simply attend, your presence will make a meaningful difference.

We hope to see you there!

Now that the dust has settled around the station, we would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to these people for being the pillars of strength while our guys were out fighting fires. The fire wives took on the remarkable task of receiving and sorting donations, keeping the spirit of compassion alive while the station was empty. They are the true unsung heroes of our department, embodying the spirit of community and dedication. We are eternally grateful for all of the generous donations to the fire department, whether it was nourishing meals, water, or simply heartfelt thanks. We are honored to serve this incredible community that truly has a heart of gold.
