Something special happened this Saturday… ❤️
With rain in the forecast, we moved our Helping Hands pack day indoors. We expected it to be a little crowded—and it was—but what we didn’t expect was what came with it.
People who may have never met before found themselves shoulder to shoulder, working side by side… and something changed.
Conversations started.
Laughter followed.
Strangers became friends.
In the middle of packing groceries for our Neighbors in Need, a deeper kind of community took shape. Not just serving together—but connecting, encouraging, and sharing in something bigger than ourselves.
Sometimes what looks like an inconvenience turns into a blessing.
Because in the end, it’s not just about the groceries we pack…
It’s about the people we become while serving.
Neighbors Serving Neighbors. Always.

Rain or Shine… Our Seniors Are Counting on Us ❤️
This Saturday is our regular Helping Hands Grocery Pack Day—and while the weather may be bringing rain, our mission doesn’t stop.
Because of the forecast, we’ll be moving indoors this month. It may be a little tighter than usual, but the need is just as great—and so is the opportunity to serve.
Every bag we pack means a senior in our community has food on their table. Many of them are shut-in and rely on these deliveries more than we realize.

If you’ve ever thought about joining us, this is your moment. Bring a friend, bring your family, and come be part of something that truly matters.
We don’t cancel for rain… because hunger doesn’t take the day off.

Easter – A Season of Hope
This Easter, Helping Hands is reimagining what it means to serve those in need.
More than 300 low-income seniors in our community will spend the holiday alone. Instead of asking them to come to us, we are preparing and delivering complete Easter meals directly to their homes across Temecula, Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, and Menifee.
Each meal will include ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, a dinner roll, and a slice of fruit pie—providing not just nourishment, but comfort and dignity on a special day.
We need your help.
To make this possible, we are seeking donations of:
• 50 spiral-sliced hams
• 45 fruit pies (Costco preferred)
You are welcome to donate food items directly, or make a financial contribution and we will purchase the items on your behalf.
Together, we can ensure that no senior in our community feels forgotten this Easter.

Easter Dinner: From Neighbor to Neighbor reshapes volunteering by moving beyond serving food in a line to serving neighbors in their homes. Volunteers will prepare meals, pack them with care, and personally deliver them to seniors who cannot come to us. This approach deepens connection, restores dignity, and allows volunteers to see the direct impact of their service—neighbor to neighbor, heart to heart. Let us know how you can help. Riverside County is home to more than 370,000 seniors, and over 10% live below the poverty line. While large sums of public funding pass through government systems, Helping Hands works locally to ensure our seniors do not go hungry.
Helping Hands is supported by more than 400 volunteers and has distributed over one million pounds of food. No staff or board members receive compensation—100% of donated food and funds go directly to feeding our Neighbors in Need.
Join us this Saturday from 8:00–10:00 a.m. as we pack groceries for local seniors. We hope to see you there.

The Canyon Lake Lions Club began the new year by organizing and leading a food drive that collected hundreds of cans of soup for our seniors. The timing could not have been better, as the recent cold weather has been especially difficult for many who struggle to afford heating for their apartments and trailers.
As we enter 2026, Helping Hands is focusing on uniting our communities around a shared purpose. Scripture reminds us, “To whom much is given, much is required,” and our heart is to connect those who have been blessed with the neighbors who are in need of that blessing.
In the final months of 2025, Helping Hands faced a serious food shortage that caused some of our seniors to go without for longer periods than any of us would want. During that same time, we strengthened our foundation by expanding our warehouse space and improving how we manage our resources. Today, we have a well-equipped facility, an experienced leadership team, and dedicated volunteers ready to serve.
We are now reaching out to churches, civic groups, businesses, and individuals who are willing to partner with us by hosting food drives, organizing fundraisers, or connecting us with food suppliers who may be willing to sponsor our efforts in 2026. Our goal is simple: to ensure that no senior in our community goes hungry or faces the elements alone.
Together, we can help those in need — and in doing so, truly live out the calling to serve.

Good Morning Helping Hands,
Tomorrow, January 10, is Pack Day at Helping Hands — a new year and a fresh start. We’ll have a warming area ready, along with hot chocolate and coffee… and yes, there will be doughnuts!
We have plenty of food to pack and many hands are needed. Come join us for what promises to be an inspiring morning as we serve our Neighbors in Need together.

Hello friends — it’s that time again. Helping Hands will be packing groceries this coming Saturday, January 10, 2026. Hard to believe we’re entering our 17th year of serving our neighbors in need — and we are grateful for every person who has helped us along the way.
We’d love to have you join us at 8:00 a.m., and we’ll be packing until 10:00 a.m. You’ll find us at 31877 Corydon Road in Lake Elsinore.
Supervised children are always welcome, and we always have meaningful work for them to help with. We’ll also have a warming station, along with coffee, hot chocolate, and doughnuts.
We hope to see you there.

Helping Hands has served our low-income Neighbors in Need for many years. As the gap between income and the cost of living continues to widen, we are seeing more seniors struggling with broken plumbing fixtures, non-functioning smoke detectors, the need for handrails and ramps, and help finding essential support services.
In response to this growing need, we are forming a team of compassionate tradesmen and skilled volunteers to help with these projects. Every task is voluntary. When a need is identified, we will email the project details — you may choose to take on the job, join a team to assist, or simply pass if you’re unavailable.

Helping Hands is truly blessed to have so many caring and generous people serving in our neighborhoods. They give their time and hearts without seeking thanks or recognition, simply out of a desire to give back.
