📍 Mental wellness is the process of taking care of your mental health in ways that help you feel balanced. It’s different for everyone because we all have different needs.
🌿 Mental wellness is something we should care for every day, just like our physical health.
This month, let's focus on self-care, mindfulness, and reaching out for support when needed. Whether it's through meditation, exercise, or simply taking a moment to breathe, every small step counts. Join us in raising awareness and breaking the stigma around mental health. Together, we can create a supportive community that values mental wellness for all. 🌈✨

Natural disasters can bring up more than just physical loss - they often resurface old trauma, create new anxiety, and leave us feeling ungrounded and overwhelmed - even months after the fact.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

✔️ It's okay to grieve - even if your home wasn't directly affected.
✔️ Healing can take months or even years, and that's okay.
✔️ Stress responses like brain fog, irritability, or exhaustion are normal after traumatic events.
✔️ Reaching out for support is a strength, not a weakness.
✔️ Small steps, like establishing routines, talking with someone you trust, or simply naming your feelings, can help bring a sense of stability.

You don’t have to go through this alone. Mental health support is for these moments, too. Our Hill Country Emotional Support is safe, supportive space for individuals and families affected by the flood, located at 819 Water Street, Suite 170 in Kerrville (inside the One Schreiner Center, 1st floor).
