Eirik, Eliza, Paolo, and Rowan traveled to Canyon Lake today to help a community member change our his Texas Flag for a new United States flag in preparation for Memorial Day.

Both flags are HUGE so took some effort to get the Texas down and folded and raise the U.S.

Great job scouts helping the community and showing your patriotism!

In Sea Scouts, youth have a requirement to talk about Sea Scouts for at least 15 minutes to both a youth and an adult organization. This helps the Sea Scout hone their public speaking, presentation, and leadership skills.

Last night, newly appointed Boatswain, Jedrek, had the chance to speak during Grace First Baptist Church's weekly Bible study to share how Sea Scouts has helped shape his leadership skills and personal growth.

The church has been an important part of Jedrek's and his family's journey for many years. His dad has worked there since 2009, even before Jedrek was born. Throughout Jedrek’s scouting experience, the church has continually supported him, including giving him opportunities to sell popcorn to help fund his high-adventure camps.

9 of our Sea Scouts and Scouters came out to help Pack 58 with their rain gutter regatta tonight. Everyone had lots of fun teaching their boats, learning some code flags, making duck woggles, and practicing heaving line.

Everyone had a great time!
