Forever Saving Angels Rescue

Forever Saving Angels Rescue FSAR volunteers are dedicated to saving as many forgotten, neglected, and worthy lives as possible and finding them forever homes.

Our Vision

To help abandoned and unwanted animals find a forever and loving home

Our Mission

Forever Saving Angels is devoted to spay and neuter, vaccinate, and heart worm test each animal before they find a forever home! Who We Are

Forever Saving Angels is a community of animal lovers who work together to save and rehome dogs in need. We are all volunteers and do this because of our passion t

o help dogs who can not help themselves. They continue to amaze us with their capacity to love and forgive their past in order to live their future. Our adoption fee helps to pay for vaccinations, heart worm testing and preventative, spays/neuters, microchips, and other veterinary care that may be needed, as well as any other expenses that may come up with fostering the dogs. This allows us to continue our mission of saving as many lives as possible. The adoption fees don’t always cover all the expenses, but thanks to the many individuals devoted to helping the rescue dogs, we’re able make it happen. Adopting a Friend

Thanks so much for looking to rescue for your new family member. If you are interested in more information regarding one of our rescues, please send an email to the contact person listed. They will be happy to answer any questions, as well as sending you an application. Upon receipt of the application and initial screening, you will be contacted by phone to complete the application process. Depending on location, this can be relatively quick or it may take a couple of days. As all of us are volunteers and have outside jobs, we appreciate your understanding and patience while we go through the screening process.

HERMIE is an 8½-year-old, 13 pound Shih Tzu. He came into rescue because his owners were unable to care for his skin issues. After a round of prescription medications, a food change, and regular medicated baths, Hermie’s skin is now looking wonderful. His legs are still a bit red, but they don’t seem to bother him like they once did.

HERMIE is a very loving and affectionate little boy who adores people. He loves belly rubs, snuggling with his foster mama, and being as close to his person as possible. When he looks at you with his big, soulful eyes, it’s impossible not to melt. Give him a couch, a lap, and 24 hours, and he’ll be as happy as a clam. He is a very easy dog to fall in love with.

HERMIE gets along well with all of the other dogs in his foster home and would love to have a small canine companion of his own. His temperament with cats and children is unknown. Based on his friendly personality we think older kids would be okay.

HERMIE rides well in the car and walks fairly well on a leash. A fenced yard is recommended, as he does enjoy going on little walk-abouts. He has a fantastic appetite, so his new family will need to be mindful of portion sizes.

HERMIE will bark if he is separated from his person. For example, if his foster mom is in the front yard and he is in the backyard, he makes it known that he is not a happy camper. He simply wants to be wherever his person is. At night, HERMIE prefers to be close and feels most content when he can settle near his people.

HERMIE is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration.

Look at this precious little man! Who wouldn’t want to adopt him?

** Updated post **

Moses is still looking for his forever home! Such a sweet, older but still lively little guy 🥰🥰🥰

Name: Moses
Age: 17 years old
Weight: 11lbs
Coat: Short
Color: frosty brown dapple
Energy level: medium
Adoption fee: $150
Location: Crestview, FL
Contact: [email protected]

-He’s very potty trained, just takes a few days for him to figure out the proper routine and where to go once outside
-He will sleep through the night once he gets used to his surroundings. It doesn’t hurt to have a little heating pad for him too
-He’s very active when he wants to be! He will run around excited when family comes home and when it’s time to eat!
-He loves being social, walking on the leash, cruisin’ in the stroller and going for car rides!!
-He is (most likely) blind, but doesn’t let that stop him! He never bumps into anything, doesn’t get scared or startle
-He loves other dogs, people and even kids! Even tho we don’t think he would do well with tiny children since they might trip on him or pick him up wrong

When we picked him up from the local shelter, we thought we were getting a quiet, sad, feeble Dachshund. It turns out, we got a tiny, spunky, independent, loving, happy Dino! 🦖 Moses loves unconditionally and has so much happiness to share! We know the perfect home is out there for him, we just need to find them! Until then, he’s perfectly content, loved and spoiled in his foster home.

Feel free to email foster mom with any questions and if you would like to meet him!

Beautiful Lulu is on her freedom ride home from Monroeville, AL. She a red Bloodhound spayed and microchipped girl about 7 or 8 years old and heartworm positive. She currently weighs 95 pounds. She doesn’t like her back end touched and may have been previously hit by a car. We will get her to the vet and have her checked out. Stay tuned for updates! For now, it’s rest time for this pretty girl. ❤️

*LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY - Within a one hour drive to Pensacola, FL*

ROXANNE is a gorgeous 3-year-old, 7.7 lb Pomeranian who’s all fluff and foxy flair. She’s a busy, happy little lady bursting with what her foster mom calls “nervous energy”. Think tiny personal assistant who must follow you everywhere. Bathroom break? She’ll supervise. Shower? Don't be surprised by the furry nose checking on your progress.

ROXANNE insists on knowing where you are, what’s for dinner, and what you’re watching on TV. With her around, you’ll always have a furry little shadow. She wants to be right with you: prancing beside you, curled up nearby in a dog bed, or lying beside you for a nap. If you are home and she can’t be with you, she’ll vocally remind you that you belong together. But if you leave the house for work or errands, she’s fine. She’ll nap, or join her foster siblings to bark at people passing by, until her favorite human returns. Then she will eagerly greet you with excited barks and fluffy tail wags before resuming her official shadow duties.

ROXANNE gets along perfectly with other small dogs and loves to nap and zoom around the yard with them. She needs a small dog buddy to reassure her when the world seems scary. She shares her foster home with a cat who sometimes gets barked at for his ninja moves, but she’s all talk. No kids for her, she prefers a peaceful, predictable household with adults who get her vibe.

ROXANNE’s got housebreaking nearly mastered. She’ll hold it or use a potty pad. She doesn’t love the leash life though and a secure fenced yard is non-negotiable. She’s quick and clever when it comes to rushing through doors and gates. She once made a mad dash through a front door and had a little adventure, so watchful humans are a must. New things can spook her, and the vet’s office was definitely not her idea of a good time. She should always be safely in a carrier in a car and when going in and out of secured areas.

At bedtime, ROXANNE sleeps in the bedroom on a soft dog mat with her favorite blankets. At sunrise, she’ll pop her paws on the bed to say good morning and request her breakfast, plus a few head scratches for good measure. She wasn't always sure about human affection, but now she's a believer as long as it's in the form of scratches and pets!

If you have a fenced yard, a small dog, and think life would be better with a sweet, slightly dramatic fox-faced shadow who loves you more than peanut butter, ROXANNE is ready to inspect your application!

She has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, had a dental, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. ROXANNE is heartworm positive and has started her treatment which will be continued by the rescue until she is heartworm free.

This sweet senior gal is tugging at our heartstrings🥹
Her owner passed away unexpectedly💔
We know she's confused, but she is making the best of it at Save Underdogs while she waits for an angel to welcome her into their lives! The golden years of a furkid are SO endearing and rewarding. Honey is a 12 year young chug/pom. Ideal weight, 8ish lbs. She just had complete bloodwork done to look for possible unknown health issues, but everything checked out beautifully!!! 🙌
She is a calm chill girl but still has a lot of pep in her step and an absolutely charming personality✨
Could you see yourself staring into these adoring eyes?

VINCE is a 10 year old, 17 pound mixed breed boy, possibly Corgi with Pomeranian or long-haired Chihuahua.

VINCE came into our care under heartbreaking circumstances. Found as a stray, he was thrown over our fence and left behind. With no microchip and no one coming forward to claim him, he found safety with us and is now ready to find his forever family.

At first, VINCE was reserved and slept a lot, but as his health has improved, his personality is shining through. He loves curling up in bed, rolling around on the covers, and sleeping beside his person. He expresses himself with growly little grumbles that may sound intimidating but are actually his way of showing contentment, especially during belly rubs or back scratches. It's not aggression, just quirky, vocal affection!

VINCE is learning how good life can be when you’re safe and loved and is looking for a calm, quiet home. He will be best as an only dog or with a calm, older female companion. He doesn’t do well with other males. We have not had him around cats and he should not go to a home with children.

VINCE is about 95% housebroken and uses a dog door well. He may mark if other dogs are marking, but he's improving with positive reinforcement and consistency. A fenced-in yard is ideal as he's not great on a leash and was found wandering. He is discovering toys for the first time and they bring out his puppy side!

VINCE has been fully vetted and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, neutered, heartworm negative, has received a ProHeart 12 shot, and a Cytopoint injection to treat his itchy skin and his coat is growing back beautifully. VINCE also received a much-needed dental, having had over 20 painful teeth removed and we can tell he feels so much better now.

VINCE is an old guy with a lot of heart, just waiting for someone to give him the quiet, gentle life he’s always deserved.
