This page is dedicated to sharing information and updates about Issue 8, the Canton Parks and Recreation replacement levy on the November 4, 2025 ballot. For more than a decade, our parks system has been maintained and improved on the same level of funding. Issue 8 will reduce the millage rate from 5 mills to 4.5 mills, yet still generate more than $6 million annually due to rising property values
. These funds are critical, as the levy is the sole source of funding for our parks and recreation programs. By supporting Issue 8, you’re investing in the future of Canton’s neighborhoods. The levy helps maintain safe, clean, and accessible parks, while supporting the programs and facilities that bring our community together. This page will provide details on what the levy means for Canton, highlight the impact of our parks and recreation system, and share ways you can get involved in the campaign. Together, we can ensure that Canton Parks and Recreation continues to grow and thrive for the next generation.
