💛Volunteers Needed at the Canton Helpline Food Pantry💛

We're looking for dedicated volunteers to help support our community members. If you have a few hours to spare, we'd love to have you join our team!

📅 Current Volunteer Opportunities:

🔹 Mondays, 8:00–11:00 AM

• Unload delivery trucks
• Sort fresh produce
• Stock pantry shelves

🔹 Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

• Shop with clients
• Stock shelves and assist with pantry operations

🔹 4th Wednesday of Each Month, 2:00–4:00 PM

• Help unload the Greater Boston Food Bank delivery truck

🔹 First Saturday of Each Month, 9:30–11:30 AM

• Shopping with clients

Sophie & Emma completed a personal and women’s hygiene donation drive as part of their B’Not Mitzvah project on May 9th. 💛

They unloaded, weighed, sorted, and stocked an incredible 347 pounds of donations! In addition, they donated a check and still have $300 left to spend — which will be used to purchase more tampons for those in need.

Their mom and a friend also joined in to help with our delivery truck. We are so grateful for their kindness, hard work, and dedication to helping others in our community!

Today, Canton Helpline Food Pantry Director Becca Trayers stopped by DEHS with food donations, with Beth Barrerra from DEHS lending a helping hand. We are so grateful for this continued partnership and shared commitment to supporting the community!

Today, Becca Trayers, our Food Pantry Director, proudly represented the Canton Helpline at the Memorial Day event sponsored by Knollwood Memorial Park and the Canton Veterans Department as we came together to honor and remember the brave men and women who served our country 🇺🇸.

Thank you to Knollwood Memorial Park and the Canton Veterans Department for hosting this meaningful tribute and to everyone who joined in remembering our loved ones and heroes. We are grateful to be part of such a caring community.

The Canton Helpline Food Pantry is currently in need of donations to help support local families in our community. We are especially looking for the items shown below, and we could also use milk crates for storage and organizing deliveries.

We are thrilled to celebrate our Food Pantry Director, Becca Trayers, who graduated yesterday with her MSW in Social Work! Her compassion and commitment to helping others make a difference every day at the Canton Helpline Food Pantry, and we are so proud of this well-deserved achievement. Congratulations Becca!

What an incredible day for Stamp Out Hunger! 💛

The Canton Helpline Food Pantry was buzzing with volunteers all day long, including members of the National Charity League, our amazing letter carriers, pantry volunteers, and so many others who gave their time to help make today a success.

A huge thank you to everyone in the community who placed bags of food out for pickup. Your generosity will make a real difference for local families in need.

Special thanks to D & E Pizza for the generous pizza donation that kept all of our hardworking volunteers fueled throughout the day!

We’d also like to recognize Mary Buckley, a dedicated food pantry volunteer and Canton Helpline board member, along with all of the volunteers who helped sort, organize, collect, and support this important community effort.

Today was a beautiful reminder of what a caring community can accomplish together. Thank you, Canton! 💛

On Saturday, May 9th, you can make a big difference for neighbors in need—right from your home. Simply leave a bag of nonperishable food items next to your mailbox, and your USPS letter carrier will take care of the rest!

The Food Drive is the nation’s largest single-day food drive, helping stock the shelves of local food pantries across the country, including right here in our community.

The Canton Helpline Board met this evening, and we were thrilled to have Food Pantry Director Becca Trayers join us for the first half of the meeting!

The board discussed Holiday Helpers, Direct Services, budget matters, and supports provided by the Canton Helpline to assist Canton residents throughout the year.

And yes… being up against the projector lighting definitely did not do us justice ......
