Someone built our schools for us.
Decades ago, members of the Plain Local community made decisions about schools for children they would never meet. They invested in classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and opportunities for generations they would never know.
They didn’t know our names, they didn’t know our children, and they certainly didn’t know what the future would look like.
But they believed the children who came after them deserved something worth investing in.
Today, those same buildings are showing their age. Leaking windows, aging infrastructure, and costly repairs remind us that the schools built for yesterday’s students cannot meet tomorrow’s needs forever.
And now, the decision belongs to us.
Someday, children who haven’t even been born yet will walk through the doors of Plain Local Schools. Their parents may not even be students themselves yet.
They won’t know who we are and they won’t know the conversations we had, the challenges we faced, or the decisions we struggled to make.
But they will live with the choices we make today.
That’s what makes a community special. We do things for people we may never meet, knowing they may never have the chance to thank us.
Someone made that investment for us.
On November 3, it’s our turn.
Vote YES on Issue 5. 💚💛
Because the future of Plain Local Schools belongs to all of us.
