Canton Lincoln High School Alumni Association

Canton Lincoln High School Alumni Association > Lincoln High School, located at 2107 - 6th St. S.W., was built in 1926 and was first opened as a junior high school. It is still in operation as HCS today.

The mission of CLHSAA is to perpetuate the spirit and memory of Canton Lincoln High School, and its students and faculty, through presentation of academic scholarship grants to our lineal descendants, and to enrich our community through civic involvement. It was an accredited secondary school in the Canton (Ohio) City School District from 1942 until 1976. The high school was then closed following

the 1975-1976 school year. The building then served as a junior high school once again for two years (1976-1977 and 1977-1978).
> In 1978 & 1979, the building was purchased by, then reopened as, Heritage Christian School of Canton, a private school founded in 1968, which was seeking a larger facility. As of 2012, Heritage had occupied the building for a period of time equal to that period during which it was Lincoln High School.
> The CANTON LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION was founded and chartered in 1989 as a 501(c)3 charitable organization under the laws of the State of Ohio.
