Yesterday’s History Hour and Spaghetti Dinner at CHS was fantastic! Co-hosted by the Lake Anasagunticook Association and the Canton Historical Society, the history talks by Liz Rothrock, Mac Ray, and Claire and Dan Riley were fascinating, and the spaghetti made by Diane Ray received rave reviews. Thanks to all who attended or donated goodies!

Here is your June 2026 photo for the Photo Caption Contest!

What caption would you give this photo?
(Enter your caption suggestions in the comments field.)

How does the Caption Contest work?
Each month, we will choose one of the historic photos from our collection (or from a family collection) and post it on the CHS page and CHS Group page, and ask for your creative captions. Add as many as you like! At each monthly meeting, the CHS Board of Directors will vote to select the winning caption.

What is the prize?
Glory! Your winning caption will be announced prior to posting the new photo for the upcoming month. (Extra Glory Points if you can name any of the people or provide additional history of the image.)

So put on your thinking caps and join the fun!
