The cast and crew of “Arsenic and Old Lace” are already hard at work breathing new life into this classic dark comedy. We’re pleased to continue introducing our cast in order of appearance…

Paul Campbell of Canton plays Mr. Witherspoon in this, his FIFTH production of “Arsenic & Old Lace.” When asked if he has a dream role he’s always wanted to play, Paul said, “Every role is a dream role......ok, some are nightmares.” We hope this one is closer to a dream! Paul looks forward to unwinding with his fellow castmates after each show. It’s much more relaxing than his pre-show routine of panic, palpitations, and ice cold sweats!

Dan Kirichok of Brockton plays the obstinate Lt. Rooney in “Arsenic & Old Lace.” Dan was drawn to audition for this show because of its quirky storyline. In real life he is quite unlike Lt. Rooney, preferring to listen rather than talk. Dan’s go to after show drink is a nice neat bourbon. He loves to know if there will be familiar faces in the audience, so be sure and let him know you’ll be attending!

Peter McElhinney is no stranger to Milton Players, having directed “A Few Good Men,” “Time Stands Still,” and “Ripcord” here. This Walpole native is switching things up to appear onstage, playing Officer O’Hara in this production of “Arsenic & Old Lace.” Peter has a very important routine before each show, “Right before I walk on stage–I always triple check my fly is up. I had a middle school math teacher teach exponents with an open fly and it terrifies me to this day.” Sounds like an important life lesson!

Milton’s own Chris Cartier plays Dr. Einstein in this production of “Arsenic & Old Lace.” It is one of his favorite plays. He has seen several productions over the years and is thankful to be in it for the second time. An avid cinephile, Chris’ favorite horror film of all time is “Peeping Tom” from 1960. If you’re coming to the show to see Chris, be sure and surprise him. He doesn’t want to know who is lurking in the audience.

Christopher March of Quincy appears as Jonathan Brewster in “Arsenic and Old Lace.” He assures us he’s nothing like his character at all–he has no doctor friends at all! Chris auditioned for this show because he loves a farce. Indeed his favorite experience as an audience member was seeing, “One Man Two Govnors.” Chris preps for each performance by memorizing lines and a small blood sacrifice–he assures us it works every time!
