CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Doug Morrison on be awarded our 2nd Annual Robert Barrie Award last night at the spring coaches meeting, honoring excellence in coaching and mentorship.
A Lifetime in the Game ⚽
Originally from Scotland and a lifelong Glasgow Rangers supporter, he’s been coaching for 50 years, leading over 1,952 games and winning over 56 championships (leagues and tournaments).
⚽ Coaching Philosophy
Sportsmanship First 🤝
I ask my players to work hard, give their best, and respect the game. Everyone plays at least half the match, and at the final whistle we shake hands and thank both sets of supporters. Respect and sportsmanship are at the heart of everything we do.
Player Development 📈
My training sessions focus on developing each player’s individual abilities and helping them grow with confidence. I always encourage players to challenge themselves at tryouts and take the next step in their soccer journey.
Positive Environment 💙
I believe training should be fun and something players look forward to. I try to connect with my players, support them on and off the field, and create an environment where they enjoy learning and competing.
