FIP ....
The little black kitty is Storm. He is the beginning of my journey in rescue, and his story is told in previous posts. I had to let him go because there was no cure for FIP at the time.
But this post is about Squawk. An adorable kitten I rescued from a managed colony who has now been diagnosed with FIP. He is so gorgeous and thankfully there is a treatment that might reverse this horrible disease.
Squawk is #1047 of cats and kittens I have TNR'd or rescued. I just loved him and felt he was special from day 1. I even made him the face of CSCTNR. Happy Tears Feline Foundation stepped in and took him into rescue. They are committed to making sure Squawk gets the care needed but it's not cheap. His estimated medicine to save his life is approx. 12 -15 $ per day for about 60 days.
Cherokee Stray Cats TNR and Happy Tears Feline Foundation will make sure this boy gets every chance to live a happy and healthy life. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Stone (aka Precious)

With a heavy heart I'm posting that this beautiful young lady continues to test Positive for FELV. 😿 She is such a sweetheart and just loves to purr and be close to someone. She would do well in a home as an only cat with someone who has time to spend with her, or maybe with another FELV cat. If you or anyone you know are interested, please message us. We are committed to finding Precious a great home that will give her the life she deserves. I'll be very particular as this cat needs a special home.

Emerald and Squawk.

We knew these kittens were out there but Mom wasn't bringing them around. When she finally brought them to the feeding station, this crazy Georgia weather and other circumstances worked against us getting them. Thank You Happy Tears Feline Foundation for committing to rescue. These kittens are beautiful and now in good hands. They were S\N'd and vetted today. If anyone would like to help with their vetting it would be soooo appreciated!

Mom was TNR'D and living a good life.

Operation Ice Storm Kittens!

Sometimes timing is everything. We received a message about 3 kittens living under a shed. I contacted my trapping partners and with the impending storm we had to try to save these kittens from enduring the elements. We caught 2 of them Weds. and the 3rd was caught Thursday Eve. Whew!

We will TNR Mom after the weather breaks. In addition, over 130lbs. of food was distributed to colony feeders in the Canton area along with some straw added to shelters.

Stay safe and warm everyone. Do what you can to help the animals get thru this weather event.

Sweet Stone (aka Cherish) might not be in her forever home for Christmas, but she is loved and safe for the Holidays. She will never have to worry about being warm or hungry or facing the dangers of a life on the streets again.
