SUNY Canton EMS is a non-transporting Rescue Squad operating on the SUNY Canton Campus.

This weekend, we partnered with SLU EMS and assisted on patient assessments, medical emergency calls, pedestrian traffic control, and patient surges at a standby tent during Raft Day 2026.

We are grateful for the connection we have with SLU EMS, the event experiences, community engagement, and the opportunity to participate in field operations using their utility vehicles.

We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to work along side of our local collegiate EMT’s and first responders, thank you again, slu_ems!

Today, some of our members completed a bike certification training, which allows our members to utilize bikes when responding to calls around campus, helping us reach those in need quickly and efficiently. A big thank you to Officer Eng of SUNY Canton University Police for providing bike training to our EMS members. We appreciate our continued partnership with University Police and the opportunities they provide to strengthen our EMS response!

Over the past weekend, SUNY Canton EMS reunited with our alumni to celebrate our squad's 10th anniversary. It was a great day to reconnect with past members and reflect on the successes of both our former and current members.

Thank you to those who helped lay the foundation for our squad, and thank you to those who continue to keep our mission moving forward.

We appreciate everyone who took the time to attend and celebrate this milestone with us. We hope you all had safe travels home and look forward to seeing you again.

Memorial Day is a reminder that freedom comes at a cost. Today, we pause to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice and to reflect on the courage it takes to serve something greater than yourself.

While we spend time with family and friends today, we remember those who can’t. Grateful for the heroes who gave everything so we could have everything.
