Every great chapter deserves a proper send-off. This one has 3:
🌟 Sarah Kosch | Co-President
Where do we even start with Sarah? She officially joined the PTO board this school year after already giving her time behind the scenes through hospitality... so in true Sarah fashion, she hit the ground running from day one. She chaired our Children's Fair, rallying an incredible team and pouring herself into every detail to make that night the magic it was. From the Birthday Book Club and coat drive to the Planetarium and Project Trio enrichment programs, the Pancake Breakfast, the Veteran's Reception, and wrapping gifts for teachers at the holidays, Sarah had her fingerprints on so much of what made this year special. And that's still not the full list. So much of what Sarah did happened quietly, behind the scenes, in ways most never even saw. As her kids move on from CBPS next year, we hope Sarah knows what a mark she has left on this school and the families who call it home. Thank you, Sarah, for everything you poured into this community. We are so incredibly grateful. 🩷
🌟Angela Pastore | Co-Treasurer
Here's the thing about Angela- she took on one of the hardest, least glamorous jobs on the board (taxes! non-profit paperwork! all the numbers!) and handled it all for two full years. But her work extended far beyond spreadsheets. She co-led the Book Fair, hosted Story Time at the Canton Public Library, and has shown up for more events and initiatives than we could ever fully list- if something needed doing, chances are Angela was already on it: Lyman Pie distribution, our food drive collection/drop-off/organization, pancake breakfast, the Children's Fair craft booth (a tradition she made her own over several years), and still there at the end of the night when most people have gone home, helping break it all down. And many times it wasn't just Angela- it was her whole family showing up alongside her, sleeves rolled up and ready to go. That kind of support makes all the difference, and we felt every bit of it. We are so lucky to have had her. 💜
🌟 Jess Tosto | Co-Vice President
We only got 1 year with Jess, and we are still not over it. She and her co-VP Jessie gave our school something it didn't have before... a scarecrow decorating event that put our kids' creativity front and center in the most wonderful way. The hallways of CBPS came alive with their work, and then those scarecrows went on display in the Children's Room at the Canton Public Library and at Town Hall, where everyone in Canton could see what our kids made. That's the kind of tradition that puts a school on the map, and Jess helped start it. And those 25 scarecrow frames? She made those by hand. That tells you everything you need to know about her. She also co-led our Gingerbread House Decorating event and was recently found breaking down the Children's Fair at the end of the night- after driving back to CT from states away. Jess is a true team player in every sense of the word. We are so sad to see her go, but so happy she found her way to us, even just for a little while. 🩵
Sarah, Angela, Jess- thank you doesn't feel like enough. But thank you. From the bottom of our hearts. The CBPS PTO is better because of you. ❤️❤️❤️
